Artifact: Basics of Effective Instruction In P.E. Lab D, Scope and Sequence

Date: Fall 2011

Reflection: For Lab D, it was required that I design a unit plan for the game Just Dance. I had to create a scope and sequence K-12 physical education program. It included a long-term plan for students to learn easy dance moves when their young and as they get older to learn more complex dance moves. It is important as a physical educator to plan activities for students of all ages.

Element: 3.3- Design and implement content that is aligned with lesson objectives.

Artifact: Basics of Effective Instruction In P.E. Lab D, Resource Packet

Date: Fall 2011

Reflection: The resource packet was used to show all the aspects of Just Dance. This packet required me to go beyond the surface of Just Dance. It included the general information about the game which will help the students understand what its all about. Also it has the terminology and the scoring system involved. My resource packet has a lot of valuable information and meets NYS and NASPE standards. It shows how I focused on specific skills rather than the actual game itself.
